Madam Agnes Kwaw, a street fruit seller who witnessed the incident said she spotted the dead who is her first time customer entering the cassava cultivated area after he ordered 8 Ghana Cedis worth of fresh Pineapples from her joint.
The victim paid for the pineapples and requested to pick up the stuffs in a few minutes since he wanted a place to urinate; he then crossed to the other side of the street to ease himself.
Madam Agnes said: “I heard a loud shriek which sounded very disturbing to me after the customer entered the farm, so I alerted my husband who usually works on the plantations along the street on the terrible noise from the cassava farm.
My husband made his way into the farm and found a man lying in a pool of blood along with a yellowish brown coloured snake escaping from the dead man’s shorts real quick – says the Madam Agnes.

She replied that her husband found a National Voters Card and a Barclays ATM card in the victim’s Gucci wallet, which had “Edward Yaw Bergeson” tagged on it. A bank statement also had his bank branch location as ‘Central Regional (Cape Coast) Branch’.
Madam Agnes said (husband) they were able to contact the family of Edward Bergeson through his phone.
